Everybody's Changing

You say you wander your own land
But when I think about it
I don't see how you can
You're aching, you're breaking
And I can see the pain in your eyes
Says everybody's changing
And I don't know why

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I don't feel the same

You're gone from here
And soon you will disappear
Cause everybody's changing
And I don't feel right

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I don't feel the same

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And I don't feel the same

Quarter Life Crisis

It is a cloudy Saturday afternoon today. I thought it was going to pour but it did not. Am home today catching up on work and feeling incredibly bored as I wait for my Lotus Notes e-mail to be sent.

My mind started to drift as I waited; I remembered a news article I read last week. It was on the Forum page and it was about Quarter Life Crisis. "That's me!" I thought when I read the title.

The writer mentioned that she felt lost and am clueless about what to do with her life. We are at the stage where we no longer have the luxury of time in making mistakes. Her phrase stuck in my mind "No U-turn". We are at the point that we have to be focused on our goals and if we make a mistake, there is no time to turn back.

This is frightening; considering that we have always felt young and carefree, having all the time in the world. The quarter life crisis makes me think I have to do something with my life right now or never.

With the long crazy hours at work, moving to New York City suddenly seemed very appealing.
