I had bought my TOTO tickets on Wednesday when I went out for lunch with my colleagues. Bought $3.50 worth of Quick Pick (the 50 cents kind) and some of my favourite numbers.

I treated my department to lunch today and walked past the Turf Club. I was sharing an umbrella with my boss and causally asked if she has bought her TOTO for that night. She said her mother usually buys TOTO and she does not. I told her she should; since it's an annual $10 million draw. A once-in-a-year chance to be an instant millionaire!

She replied that perhaps we shall buy on our way back after lunch.

I totally forgot about it on the way back. Luckily, my boss remembered and both of us walked together to the betting shop.

Bought 2 system 7 tickets while my boss bought 1. Initially, I had wanted to just buy a ticket but was too lazy to keep the 50 cents change so decided to buy 2 tickets to make it $7 instead.

I won on those two tickets!

Won $60 on one ticket (3 + 1 additional number) and $90 on another (4 numbers).

What an exciting start to the new year!
