It was terrible to see how the prisoners were tortured and killed. I still cannot understand how a human can inflict such pain and suffering on another.

Visited The Royal Palace this afternoon alone because Karen needed to head back to the hotel. She has to plough through about 600 pages of readings and start writing her ISM.

It was a great mistake to tour in the afternoon. The weather was terrible. It was so hot, I think it must have been at least 45 degrees celsius. The soles on my shoes were hot! Felt like I was walking on burning charcoal.

Looking back, it has been such an ironic day. Spent the morning visiting a dark and gloomy place while my afternoon was in a palace of luxury.
