Page 16 of History

It's 15 days to my thesis submission deadline. After last night's hard work and today's effort, I'm only at page 16 of my 40 page thesis. This is just my first draft. :(

Met up with Cholan and Prof Chin yesterday morning to discuss the results I have gotten thus far. To me, all the data is crap because the ANOVA had very high probablities (p-values of .7 or .8). But Cholan was estatic when he saw my graphs. He commented that the SCAN test is really useful because all the innocent participants had postitive scores while the guilty had negative scores. Therefore, the test separates the guilty from the innocent. In fact, he was so happy about my graphs that he said that we are making history! This sounds very drama but that was exactly what he said. When he saw Prof Chin, he congratulated him and said he's (Prof Chin) going to be a very famous man. Somewhere in between our discussion, he even told me to get Prof Chin's autograph now otherwise I would never get it when Prof Chin becomes famous.

When I was recounting the episode to Alex, it struck me that if Prof Chin was in the making of history, then I'm the one creating history! That's because I was the one who slogged over the data and came out with the graphs! *haha* It was a comforting thought from Alex that perhaps in the future, other academics will quote, "Chin and Yeow, 2005" when they write about the economics of crime and SCAN. Back to work again. I was writing my thesis hypothesis (section 3.2) when I had a mental block. Decided to do brainless work then and started to print my International lecture notes. It's done now, so back to writing. History beckons.
